What is Summer Patch?

Summer patch is caused by a fungus that lives in the soil and attacks the roots of grass.  Symptoms are most offten expressed in the summer months, when the lawn is stressed and demands alot of water.  It also attacks roots during spring and fall.

Summer patch damage ranges from slight to severe.  Summer patch symptoms first appears in light green patches that soon enlarge and rapidly fade to a dull reddish brown, then a light tan, and finally circular patches of straw-colored grass, up to a foot or more across, often with green grass in the center of the patch.

Call us as soon as possible to treat - it will continue to spread rapidly until treated!
